MerfinUI Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of MerfinUI, including the Discord application, subscriber access pages, download pages, Desktop Companion, managed content, and related administration tools.

By using MerfinUI, interacting with the MerfinUI Discord application, opening subscriber pages, or downloading MerfinUI content, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

MerfinUI provides controlled access to subscriber content, including downloadable files, WeakAura strings, descriptions, previews, and related support or administration features. The MerfinUI Desktop Companion may help eligible users collect, prepare, install, or update selected WeakAura content through the supported MerfinUI workflow. Access may depend on Discord roles, permissions, subscription status, or other eligibility rules set by MerfinUI.

MerfinUI GM is an optional Discord Bot for guilds that want to connect a Discord server to a MerfinUI Guild Manager workspace. Guild owners or authorized administrators may use it to import roles and members, connect Discord members with in-game characters, and manage raid event signup workflows.

Guild managers are responsible for configuring their workspace correctly, keeping access limited to authorized staff, and using imported Discord data only for legitimate guild, roster, and event administration. Players may interact with event buttons and private Discord responses to select class, specialization, and character information for an event.

MerfinUI may update event posts, store event signup information in the connected workspace, enforce workspace permissions, and remove or limit a workspace connection if it is abused, misconfigured, no longer authorized, or creates legal, security, or operational concerns.

Subscriber content is provided only to users who are authorized at the time access is requested. Access may be temporary, limited, revoked, or denied if permissions are missing, a subscription is no longer valid, abuse is suspected, or the service needs to protect its content, users, or systems.

You may use MerfinUI content for your own personal gameplay and account setup, subject to your subscriber access and any rules communicated by MerfinUI. You are responsible for using downloaded files, strings, and configurations correctly and safely.

You must not:

  • share, resell, redistribute, publish, or otherwise provide subscriber content to unauthorized users,
  • attempt to bypass access checks, permission systems, limits, or security controls,
  • scrape, automate, mirror, bulk extract, or abuse the service beyond normal personal use,
  • use MerfinUI in a way that disrupts the service, Discord, hosting providers, or other users,
  • upload, submit, or request unlawful, harmful, infringing, or abusive content.

MerfinUI, its branding, layouts, managed content, subscriber content, and related materials remain owned by MerfinUI or the relevant rights holders. Access to subscriber content does not transfer ownership or grant permission to redistribute that content.

MerfinUI content may include addon files, WeakAura strings, configuration data, images, descriptions, or other materials. Content may be updated, replaced, removed, renamed, or reorganized at any time. Older versions may no longer be available.

The Desktop Companion and related in-game bridge are provided to make MerfinUI content easier to access for eligible users. They are not a guarantee that every game setup, addon state, or third-party update will behave identically for every user.

MerfinUI may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. MerfinUI aims to keep the service reliable but does not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, permanent availability, or compatibility with every setup.

You are responsible for complying with Discords terms, applicable server rules, game terms, and applicable law. You are also responsible for keeping your own accounts secure and for ensuring that files or strings you import are suitable for your own setup.

MerfinUI administrators may review relevant access, support, configuration, and operational information where necessary to operate the service, handle support requests, investigate issues, prevent abuse, or enforce these Terms.

MerfinUI may rely on third-party platforms and service providers. MerfinUI is not responsible for the availability, policies, actions, or content of third-party services. MerfinUI is not affiliated with Discord, Blizzard Entertainment, World of Warcraft, Wago, or any other third party unless explicitly stated.

MerfinUI is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MerfinUI disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MerfinUI is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or similar damages, including loss of data, loss of access, service interruption, or issues caused by third-party platforms, user configuration, or unauthorized sharing.

MerfinUI may suspend, limit, or remove access to the service or subscriber content if these Terms are violated, access requirements are no longer met, abuse is suspected, a security issue exists, or continued access would create operational, legal, or safety concerns.

MerfinUI processes personal data as described in the MerfinUI Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains what data may be processed, why it is processed, and how privacy requests can be made.

MerfinUI may update these Terms when the service, legal requirements, access model, or operational needs change. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect.

These Terms are public so Discord reviewers, MerfinUI users, subscribers, and administrators can understand the basic rules for using MerfinUI.
